I ordered this generator a couple of weeks ago and it was on backorder at the time. it said it would ship on 11-4 and I was hoping that was correct. I was pretty surprized when a truck rolled up today and un loaded my generator. the unit was packed very good and all I did was put on the wheels and handles added oil and gas and it started on the first pull. I ran a small welder off of it to test it and it didn't even effect it. I am very impressed.

Although I purchased this generator prior to hurricane Irene, we did not lose power. However, I did lose power during the heavy snow this past weekend, Oct 29. I fired this unit up and it ran the entire house. No lugging or drop in rpm's, no surges. Absolutely incredible. I am the type of person who does research and then more research before making any purchases. I was on the fence with this one until I spoke with the rep on the phone. They take care of their customers. You will not be disappointed when you buy this one, enjoy the power !!

I work for the biggest generator rental company in the world (aggreko), i've been a generator technician for eleven years working on generators from 30kw to 2000kw. I'm about to retire in another year or so, then i won't have the free use of a diesel generator after that. I live about 25 miles from New Orleans so we do get alot hurricanes as you know. I shopped around reading different reviews and specs on various generators and only this one would do what i needed, at least i hope it would. After receiving and wired to my main buss in my garage,(switch off main breaker from utility) i started everything in my house 2200s/f, 2 refrigerators,1 upright freezer,9 ceiling fans, lights,tv's,etc. then i started a 3 1/2 ton ac unit ,the generator did not skip a beat, held in there ran everything in house. I'm total electric, so there are certain appliance that can come on when needed.Just have to know watt and amp draw. 3 tech's at shop want to order this unit also, can't say enough about it, like i said great investment.

Shipping was quick and the trucking company put the pallet right in my garage. Put together in 30 minutes added fuel and oil and hit the starter fired right up. Hooked 50amp outlet up to my fusebox through an outlet box and this thing ran my whole house.I tried the hot air furnace, central air, stove and numerous fixtures and everything worked perfect.Would highly recommend this unit and will be ordering another one for my inlaws home.thanks to generator factory outlet also.

So Good, & it's TRUE!

I researched so many gas generators on the internet, wanting the most powerful & practical one to run my whole house. I found a large gap in price between 10,000 watts and 12,500 or higher watts. 10,000 would not run my air conditioner & the fan for the air conditioner at the same time, 36 watts. The service was good, the delivery excellent, tech answers quick and accurate. Gas use is 1/2 of advertised! It starts quick, runs so quite cars passing make more noise!

I was looking for a 10KW generator for two purposes. The house has 220v at the electrical power box, but it was never introduced into the house, (the house was built in 1950), and since I would like to have a portable power source for my welder, AND backup power for the house, I felt that for now, the money would be better spent on the 10kw generator, than on house wiring. I can afford the house wiring later.
I ordered the DuroMax XP10000E on Friday and it was delivered on Tuesday (much
sooner than I had expected it. The driver rolled it up to my garage door on a pallet jack (I want one for myself). I pulled it into the garage by hand (I'm 74), and yeah it is heavy, though I believe I could have picked it up by myself, because with my left hand (the weak one I can pick up the wheel end of it with absolutely no problem. It took me about 40 minutes to set it up with the wheels, handles, and stanchions. I got a quart of Mobile 1 for the oil supply and a USGI 5 gal Gas can (will get a 5 gal plastic one soon) for fuel. When I have time I will set it up, and fire it up. I am guessing that it will be everything I will need for the foreseeable future. The 50 amp connector is expensive, and I will buy the 50 amp RV connector, to modify for my own purpose, as it is just over half the cost of the Electrical supply stores' 50 amp plug unwired.
Once I fire it up, I will write more.

My unit arrived very well packed. The wheel kit was Easy to put together, after reading the manual I filled one quart of oil, put some gasoline and connected the battery cable. I turned the starter key and it started right up. I finished wiring the house for the generator connection, tried it out and it easily handled everything I put on it. Everything in the house except the heat pump/furnace/. I would recommend this unit to anyone. I plan to run it weekly to make sure it is ready to go. Overall the unit is GREAT ! If anyone needs a power generator, this is the one to get.

An update...

About 3 weeks after I got the generator installed we lost power for 6 hours. I started it up and it ran everything I needed for the 6 hours, using only 3 gallons of gas. I run it every Saturday to keep the battery charged. I love the peace of mind this unit gives us. My 6 year-old grandson can start it up and shut it down.
If you need a generator, get this one!

It took too long for Amazon to get this thing to me (two weeks plus) but it worked wonderfully when they got it to me. It took about 30 minutes to uncrate and put handles and wheels on. The instructions are pretty good for an imported item (I think it is made in China). It started and ran great from the gitgo. It is quieter than my 5500 watt gen. I initially thought it was putting out 300/150 volts and called the cust serv #. The responded immediately by shipping out another regulator/brush assembly and told me how to put in on even though the user's manual shows how to do it very well. Come to find out it was my VOM that was wrong. My other two (more expensive) VOM's showed 240/120 as claimed. The cust service person sounded domestic and not foreign and was extremely helpful. I am pleased with this unit.
