boy was I pampered today! My new toy arrived. Fedex delivery truck was about two hours early and he had a lift gate. I stood back while he unloaded the new looking box with new straps. We slid it off the pallet and right under my hoist in the garage. The person was totally polite and curteous, taking the pallet away as he departed. This rating should read, perfect

I HAVE BEN LOOKING FOR A LONG TIME FOR THE BEST DEAL
FOR A GENERATOR. I JUST HAPPEN TO FIND THIS ON THE WEB SIGHT, I READ THE CUSTOMER RATING A FIVE STAR WOW.
SO I BOUGHT IT, IT ONLY TOOK FOUR DAYS AT MY FRONT DOOR. I COULD'NT WAIT TO START IT UP, IT TOOK ONLY TWENTY MINUTES TO PUT IT TO GATHER, EXCEPT FOR THE GROUND BATTERY CABLE IT TOOK A LITTLE LONGER, BUT WHEN IT WAS ALL DONE, IT STARTED RIGHT UP, IT SOUNDED NICE. I SHOW ALL MY FRIENDS AND THEY LIKE IT. IT RAN 90% OF POWER IN MY HOUSE. COOL .

I researched an lot of generators and all different setups and found this to be the best deal out there for a whole house portable generator. All the reviews on here help me in making my decision. The delivery was superb and so was the packaging. I used the generator interlock kit (google this) to piggy back on my electrical panel and hook this generator and use my electrical panel as my transfer switch. You will have to buy proper lead connectors from an auto store to make a pocitive connection of the battery charging cable. The crocodile clips does not help. The generator is loud wehn on full load so be carefull. I am planning on maing a sound proof / storage box for this generator. Now I am all set for any power outages....bring it on.....

The Duro-Max 10,000 Watt Generator

Comment:
I have always wanted a generator since the big Ice storm we had back in 1987. I mean 13 days without power and then I lived out in the country and had to water cattle. So as you can see a generator would have been really a good thing to have had. Well now I finally have got one. The Duro-Max 10,000 watt generator. My Dad and I tried it out today. It works great. We switched our electric box over to the generator side and the generator never bogged down at all. Everything inside our house that we usually have on ran just fine. I am well satisfied with the way the generator performed. I ordered my generator on November 25th and two weeks later got it delivered by C&L Trucking Company out of Springfield MO. They weren't supposed to ship it til December 12th. So it got here early. So if you are looking to buy a generator for yourself I would sure think about buying the Duro-Max. You can't go wrong.

After being without power 7 times this year and many times in the last 23 years, I decided to buy a generator that would power my whole house in the rural country. After ordering this generator I only had to wait less than a week before delivery. I was amazed how simple the assembly went, and it started on 3 pulls the first time. The battery electric starter worked well also. I decided to have a professional electrican do the 50 amp. hook up through the house for less than $450. It only burped a little, when by mistake we were both turning on devices and I hit the well pump and refrigerator, at the same time he hit the dryer. I have had it now for 3 months and still awaiting for an electrical outage to use it, winter is looming large in Michigan. I still take it out and start it once a month.

Last year, we took a direct hit from Irene being without power 6 days. Bought this model Xp10000E after doing much research on home generators and it had everything I needed.
It arrived Early November 2011 and was very well packaged.
The hardest part of the whole ordeal was connecting the negatove battery terminal (theres not much room to work)
but after that, I put in a quart of oil and a gallon of gas for testing and it started right up. I had a professional electrician wire it directly into the breakers with a transfer switch & it ran every system in the house. 2 refrigerators,1 big freezer, lights, and some other items and it never missed a beat. So with XP10000E it's goodbye to annoying outages forever. All I need now is for someone to convert this to gas so I have an unlimited fuel suppily.

Bought this in late May of 2011. Assembled and ran for a few minutes. Connecting battery cable is tricky. Not much room. Then bought wire and outlets and had them installed in the house and fuse panel so I can just plug in flip a switch and power the entire house. Sat around for months and then power went off. Wheeled it out,hit electric start and plugged in-worked like a charm. Yes its made in China but what isn't these days. Others cost twice as much for 10k watts and this one has a 50 amp plug, thats what you need to run to the panel to power the house unless you just want to run a couple small things. Mine works great, not sure how long it will hold up but its fine now........and when I bought mine it was 200 bucks cheaper so better get yours now before they go higher.

I hate to be the first negative comment. I was called by FedEx on Monday. I set up a Wed. after 4 delivery time. I had a friend over to help me manuver it around to assemble and make the electrical connections needed. At 7:30, I called FedEx, and was advised that the driver had a tough day, so he went home. It would have been nice to get a call telling me so I could have ran errands needed for the holiday on Thurs. Not to mention my friend's waisted time. I hope I have better luck with the generator when I need it, whenever they get around to delivering it.So far all I can give is a poor rating. I will update it on delivery and use.
