The XP10000E features a rugged frame constructed of heavy duty steel with four fully isolated vibration dampening motor mounts for a surprisingly smooth and quiet operation. The heart of this power plant is the dependable 16 HP DuroMax overhead valve engine. It's designed to be extremely easy for anyone to start, just a turn of the key or a quick pull of the EZ-start recoil gets it going. With its 8.3 gallon fuel capacity this environmentally minded EPA and CARB approved unit will run up to a full 10 hours on a single tank of gas. This time may vary depending on the load you're running. The unique exhaust design coupled with the frame dampening allows it to run at a comfortable 72 decibels. Another added feature is its low oil protection system. It alerts you first with a light on the front panel telling you that the oil is low, next it will automatically shut the generator off to protect it from any damage and substantially prolonging its life. The XP10000E series alternators use quality all copper windings, an advanced automatic voltage regulator (AVR) system, coupled with a rock solid brush design. This tried and true combination ensures maximum steady power output and years of trouble free service.

The XP10000E's panel was designed to offer the perfect balance of power and functionality. It includes 2 fully protected 120v 20-Amp, standard household outlets to supply power to all of your appliances - including televisions, refrigerators, microwaves, fans and more. It also features both 30amp 120/240V and 50amp heavy duty twist lock outlet for instant command of high powered tools including saws, air compressors, and a host of other devices...and of course, RV power needs. A 12v DC output with leads functions as a charger for batteries and other rechargeable devices. Overloads are never a problem with its dual 33.3 Amp circuit breaker, volt meter allows you to monitor your generator's output range at all times, and the low oil alert light warns of a low oil condition. The keyed start switch insures the prevention of any unauthorized use, an extra key is included.

Idle control (Auto Throttle) switch: When the idle control is switched on it automatically lowers the RPM's to an idle when no power is being used. When power is used it automatically raises the RPM to respond to the load and then lowers it again when the load is removed. This feature dramatically saves fuel and reduces noise when engaged.
High Amperage Voltage Selector: Allows the user to get maximum power from each of the 120 Volt Receptacles. It also allows the user to choose between operating the Generator at both 120V and 240V simultaneously, or at 120 only with full power. It is recommended that the Voltage Selector switch always be in the 120V position unless 240V is required.

Great Generator. I use this in my race trailer to power a large Air Conditioner and compressor coffee pot etc. Its heavy and but that's expected for this size power. The pull start is quick and easy and the electric start is a great convince.

Well, I finally got around to firing up the 10KW DuroMax, so here are my comments. Once I figured out the direction the choke lever worked, and the auto Idle switch, it fired up very quickly. It sat for going on two years, without so much as being moved in the garage, yet the battery had plenty of charge for starting. Once it had run for about 5 minutes, I hooked up a 110v Air Compressor, and it only speeded up the idle. Then I hooked up my wirefeed 240v welder, and the DuroMax didn't even stutter. I then hooked up my 240v Plasma Cutting machine, so that I had the Air Compressor, the Wire feed Welder, and the Plasma Cutter all at the same time. Got my buddy to weld while I used the Plasma cutter, at the same time, and the DuroMax didn't even blink, WOW! I am now in business, to be portable as well as have a stationary location with the house 240v. I didn't get it any cheaper than the current price, but I will say it is still a bargain, and will do exactly what it was designed for and maybe a lot more!

Purchased the XP10000E in August and got the pleasure of using the product for a straight 13 days of NO power after Hurricane Sandy crippled the Northeast. Living in Long Island NY, the family was prepared and we had electric in the house thanks to this great product. Fuel consumption was great and unit ran without one single problem. Highly recommended.

Bought the duro max xp 10000 after Irene last year and lost power to sandy for 9 days had this baby hard wired to my mane and ran the whole house heat,hot water, lights,everything.Ran for 9-10 hours at a clip. easy to start,Best buy I ever made.

This generator got us through Sandy, 7 days without electric. I had the Duromax 4400E for Hurricane Irene, it was perfect but I decided I wanted more. Ordered the 10000E and had it wired into my home, got tired of extension cords in the house. This was a God send. Even my 78 year old Mom can start these generators up thanks to the electric starts. Of course I still have my 4400 as a back up, I wont part with either of them. Feel much safer having our Duromax generators standing by. Our entire house was lit up, our two refrigerators and our furnace were running and we had hot water. My neighbors came over every morning because our coffee pot was working, it was wonderful. I will never go without a Duromax generator in my garage. I care for this thing like it is a pet, but its worth its weight in gold to me.

I purchased this generator last year after Hurricane Irine. I had my house panel wired so I could connect the 50 amp connection to it. When Sandy hit in NJ it went into service for 7 days. I was able to run my whole house on it and it never broke a sweat. I recommed this unit and I have had a few friends buy this generator after see it in action. Don't wait for the next nightmare, get one and have it ready. you will not go wrong!

Finally I get to write a review for this generator. I was a victum of Huricane Sandy located in CT. Upon delivery we were able to set up Ole Blue easily. We gave her a test run and read the directions. Hurricane Sandy was her first call to duty. My husband works for the DPW so wasn't home to help, I was able to move her and start up up with out difficulty. She ran for 5 days before we got power back, I was able to turn her off fill her up with out difficulty. Yes noisy but she a generator so you deal. I was able to plug in 2 fridges, a few lights, charge phones and games, and 2 ceramic heaters. (We haven't been able to hook her up to our electric panel because we rent). We had to add oil after day 3 1/2, but it again was easy. I was thrilled with the performance and she was very reliable. I highly reccomend this generator.

After Irene and the October nor easter last year I bought one of the bad boys and got it all wired in. Did everything and nore for Sandy. Highly recomended piece of gear. A must have here in the Northeast.

I bought this unit on Sept. 3, 2011. used it that October when we had an early snow storm in PA when the power went out. The generator ran for 5 days straight without a problem. After hurricane Sandy knocked out the power, the generator ran for 7 days in a row.

So after a few occasions of being without power for serveral days, I finally broke down and bought the DuroMax 10000 generator. I have it wired to an internal transfer switch purchased from MaxTools as well. I have had the generator for over a year now and of course I have not lost power. Sandy was the last straw and came through and took out the power. I am pleased to say the generator sitting outside for over a year started up right away. It has been supplying continuous power to whatever I have wanted for over 24 hours. Great product + reasonable price = Excellent value.
